Can’t say no to juicy, ripe summer peaches.

Let’s get creative! If you’re feeling adventurous and want to try something new, there are plenty of substitutions and variations you can experiment with for this Instant Pot Peach Dump Cake recipe.

Instead of using canned sliced peaches, you can use fresh peaches. Simply peel and slice 3 cups of fresh peaches and add them instead of canned peaches. You may need to increase the baking time slightly due to the extra liquid that fresh peaches release.

If you prefer a different type of fruit cobbler, such as cherry or apple, swap out the peach pie filling for your preferred choice. You could even mix together different types of pie fillings for a delicious combination cobbler.

For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free yellow cake mix. And if you’re looking to make this recipe even simpler, you can skip the ground cinnamon and brown sugar layers and just pour the cake mix on top of the peaches.

And why not go all out and serve your Peach Dump Cake with a scoop or two of ice cream on top? Vanilla or peach-flavored ice cream would be an excellent pairing that will take your dessert game up a notch.

Once you’ve whipped up your Instant Pot Peach Dump Cake, the real fun begins – serving and pairing it!

The cake itself is absolutely delicious on its own or with a dollop of freshly whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. However, if you’re feeling fancy, you can also dress it up with a drizzle of caramel sauce, a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar, or even some chopped nuts.

If you’re serving this dessert to guests (which I highly recommend), try pairing it with a hot cup of coffee or tea, which can help cut through the sweetness of the cake. A cold glass of milk or a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream would also make great accompaniments to this warm and cozy dessert.

This dish is versatile enough to serve as a post-dinner treat, an afternoon snack, or even as part of a decadent brunch spread. Listen up, my fellow chefs! If you’re busy and need to plan ahead, or just like to have your desserts ready for a rainy day, you’ll love this section. Here’s how to rock the make-ahead game with this instant pot peach dump cake recipe.

First of all, you can totally make this cake ahead of time and store it in an airtight container for up to three days. Just make sure it’s completely cooled before you store it. You can also freeze it for up to three months. This cake is a great treat to have in the freezer for those last-minute dessert cravings.

When you’re ready to eat your dump cake, simply thaw it overnight in the fridge or let it come to room temperature for a couple of hours. Then, you can reheat it in the oven or microwave. To reheat in the oven, preheat your oven to 350F (175C) and bake for about 10-15 minutes until heated through. To reheat in the microwave, place a slice on a microwave-safe plate and microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time until heated through.

Now that you’ve got your make-ahead and reheating game covered, let’s talk about storing your leftover cake. If you have any leftovers (which might be rare because this dump cake is irresistible), simply wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or foil and place it in the refrigerator for up to three days.

And there you have it – no excuses to not enjoy this scrumptious instant pot peach dump cake whenever the urge strikes!

Tips for Perfect Results

 A one-bowl wonder that's guaranteed to please a crowd.
A one-bowl wonder that’s guaranteed to please a crowd.

Making a Peach Dump Cake in your Instant Pot can sound like it’s super easy, and you might think that it’s hard to mess up. But, there are some things you should keep in mind to guarantee perfect results. Here are some tips that I have come up with over the years of cooking different types of cakes in my Instant Pot.

1. Use the Right Cake Mix

With Peach Dump Cake, the cake mix is a significant factor in the final result’s texture and flavor. You should always use yellow cake mix for this recipe, regardless of what other recipes say. The reason for this is that the yellow cake mix complements the flavor of the peach pie filling perfectly.

2. Don’t Overmix

When mixing all ingredients together, be gentle, so as not to overmix the cake batter. Overmixing will activate gluten formation and make for a tough cake. For best results, use a spatula to fold everything together until just combined.

3. Choose Good-Quality Peaches

The quality of your peaches plays an essential role in determining how sweet or tart your dessert turns out. If you’re using canned peaches, which is perfectly okay, make sure they’re packed in heavy syrup instead of juice. Heavy syrup helps give them a more pronounced and sweetness while ensuring that they’re moist.

4. Use Enough Liquid

The Instant Pot requires liquid to build pressure and cook effectively. Although this dump cake might seem overly wet initially, do not reduce the water amount mentioned in our recipe section. The water quantity is necessary for steam creation and providing ample moisture for everything to cook thoroughly and evenly.

5. Do Not Open Pressure Cooker Too Soon

One of the biggest mistakes I see home chefs making is opening the Instant Pot too soon after cooking it with high pressure. Allowing natural pressure release (NPR) time with Instant Pot dump cakes is just as important as using high pressure to cook the dessert. Most Instant Pot Peach Dump Cake recipes recommend waiting ten minutes at a minimum before releasing the pressure completely. Don’t rush this process, and you’ll end up with perfect results every time.

Following these tips should help ensure that your Peach Dump Cake turns out perfect every time. Remember that practice makes perfect, so don’t be afraid to give it a go a couple of times if you’re new to Instant Pot cooking. Good luck!

Bottom Line

So there you have it, my fellow foodies! The Instant Pot Peach Dump Cake Recipe is an easy and delicious dessert that you can prepare in no time. With only three ingredients, you can’t go wrong with this tasty treat. Whether you’re hosting a party or just craving a sweet dessert after dinner, this recipe is your perfect solution.

The great thing about this recipe is its versatility. You can use different flavors of cake mix, like yellow, white or even chocolate, to make different variations of the peach dump cake. You can also use fresh or canned peaches depending on your preference. And best of all, you can prepare this recipe in either an Instant Pot or a Slow Cooker depending on what you own.
